This Light Blue Marlin Braid is a much tighter weave and is consequently stronger. While the Economy X-tension braid takes 18 hours to braid a 1000m spool, the Blue marlin takes 24 hours to braid 1000m. The tighter weave results in a much rounder profile and greater strength.I buy this direct from the factory.
