Founded in the spring of 1980 Zziplex Ltd. Terry was able to capitalise on his experience of breaking the British Casting Record several times during the late sixties and seventies.
Every single rod produced by the factory is made by Terry himself, making him the biggest single influence on the casting and fishing scene in the U.K. His creations are much copied but never emulated and can be seen at every saltwater or casting venue.
Anyone who has owned a Zziplex rod in the last 30 years is usually a convert.
With so many outlets throughout the world to take care of, blanks are sometimes much harder to get hold of. Luckily they are always worth the wait.

Zziplex M4 Hi-flex match
Equal section, strong and sensitive finely balanced Match rod. More power than the HSM, slimmer blank and a beautiful glass tip. Casts 6oz and bait with ease and one of the best allround rods we have expierienced. Very user friendly. Can't praise this rod enough.

The new M4 Evo GT (Glass tip) is a revelation to me. I have been using it for the last month and have been completely surprised with the power and ease of use. The only criticism I had with the standard M4 Evo (capable but sometimes with a sting in the tail) was the tip action and the glass tip version has transformed this into the ultimate slim match rod. I have all the M4 variants but could never quite master the Evo but the GT makes it a totally different rod.
