A friend of mine told me about this Japanese carp line that he had been using off the beach for the last couple of years that was amazingly strong and had a very thin diameter. I bought some and took it down to Chesil for the Plaice and was very impressed. I have been using it ever since. I don't do other peoples line but I am so impressed with this I want everybody to try it.

0.323mm and rated at 35lb breaking strain! you have to be kidding right.!!

You can take the breaking strain with a pinch of salt but there have been a few double figure Rays caught on the 0.286mm in the last month and it casts very well.

THis line features a unique capacity to change its colour depending on the light angle and intensity. It goes from medium dark Brown to a weedy Green, becoming totally invisible on the bottom, the instant camouflage system. Also shines green in the headlight at night.

4 sizes from 0.286mm (20lb) 0.30mm (26lb) 0.32mm (35lb) to 0.35 (44lb). The 0.28mm is popular with the shallow fixed spool reels. Most spools will fill 2 reels.

The 15m Tapered leaders are good as well. Both the Red and the Clear Fluorine.

Like the reflector line the breaking strains quoted per diameter are incredible but there is a disclaimer  - Please Note : Awa-Shima breaking strains have been obtained using our extensive team of professional testers in real fishing situations and not by a machine.

I have been using this line and have been snagged up and have not been able to break it walking up the beach. I was able to retrieve the line but found a 2/0 Black bass at 90 degrees and the second time lost a snood.

Seems to be much stronger than other lines of the same diameter.
